    Louise Peterson

Piper came to us from the shelter in Hutchinson Kansas after spending time with several apparent back yard breeders interested only in producing puppies so at this time we don't know a whole lot about her.

Piper did fine in the car and appears highly treat motivated.  She is a little thin but that's easily remedied. Once we know more about her personality we will be updating this page frequently as she starts to open up to her foster family.

Foster Update February 12, 2010

-Sweet girl, follows her people from room to room

-Likes a teddy bear to lay head on and wrestle with a it a little bit

-She is food motivated

-Knows sit & shake

-She shakes to get a treat

-She hates, and I mean capital H hates to go out side in the snow, you have to pull her outside

-She is house broken

-Likes to sleep on bed with you and will get on the couch if you let her

-Stools seem normal

-She is okay with cats just ignores them

-Still having issues with my female dog, I have to keep her muzzled when I can't keep her tied to me and don't want to lock her in my room.  I keep them apart rotating them form room to room.  Trying during the day to leash them both, muzzle her and get them to be in the same area.  She will walk by her leashed and ignore her but as soon as you think she is okay she will lunge so it's a good thing to have the muzzle on her.

*At this time, Piper will do better in a home with no other dogs
Louise Peterson is very dedicated to Great Danes.

She has donated many of her works of art to Great Dane Rescues to help raise funds.

Please thank her by
visiting her site and ordering a sculpture.
